Dining Experience

Evergreen Estates offers a restaurant-style experience. A salad bar is available with a variety of choices.

Three delicious meals are served a day, with the “heavy” meal served as the second meal of the day. Dining hours are expanded at dinner and supper meals.

Our residents meet with the Dietary Supervisor monthly to discuss the menu, food quality and the service in the dining room. Their comments and suggestions are an important part of ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable.

Evergreen has long been known for the quality of our food. We encourage you to have a complementary lunch or dinner and taste for yourself.

The residents at Evergreen Estates have established a Resident Food Committee. This committee works with our Dietary Manager and Administrator in making suggestions concerning the monthly menu and provides feedback on food quality, dining room atmosphere and service.

Services & Features

Evergreen Estates has plenty of extra features and services available to it’s residents, to name a few:

BEAUTICIAN SERVICES
Evergreen Estates has a Beauty and Barber shop available for the residents, and it is also open to the public.

Along with customary services such as; men’s and women’s haircuts, permanents, colors, manicures and pedicures, they also sell and service wigs. The shop carries a full line of retail products for the residents to purchase.

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
With your monthly rent come the comforts of having your own assigned housekeeper who, with time, will come to understand your housekeeping needs Housekeepers clean each individual apartment once a week; however, we can arrange more visits, if you desire, at a resonable fee.

We have a maintenance crew that takes care of the grounds and any inside work. We will maintain and make any needed repairs to your apartment, as needed. We conduct scheduled preventive maintenance that assures appliances and other equipment are kept is good, running order.

MAIL DELIVERY
Each resident is provided a lockable mail box. The mail boxes are located inside the facility; thus, providing a safe and secure area for our resident that also protects them from the weather. Large packages are delivered to the reception desk, which is then delivered to your apartment.

Evergreen keeps a plentiful stock of stamps on hand for residents to purchase without leaving the facility. We can also help provide any needed envelopes or writing materials, if needed.

Activities

Keeping busy is often something our residents are looking for in retirement life. To help our residents keep involved with the local community, we design a full activities calendar.

Our residents have appointed a Resident Council to assist us in providing services and activities they choose. Some of these activities include:

• Exercise and balance classes
• Scheduled downtown shopping and site seeing rides in our facility van
• Games, including the all-time favorite of Bingo, and Wii Games for fun and exercise
• Bible Study and weekly church services that are performed by local ministers of different denominations
• In-house and outside movies
• Musical Groups
• Ice Cream Socials
• Daily Events and Newspaper Reading
• Attendance to sporting, theatrical and community events
• Computer Classes & Media Room: Access to computers and magnifier
